Tony Fernandes, the founder of AirAsia, is now exclusively represented by The London Speaker Bureau for speaking engagements. AirAsia grew from 2 modest Boeing 737-300s to 30 and is now operating over 100 daily flights from hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Bangkok and Jakarta.
Sir Brian Pitman has been appointed chairman of Virgin Money. Sir Brian recently hit out at banking bonuses saying he won't be making big payouts to compete for top bankers: "We shan't be paying anything like the bonuses that some people mention. We find that a lot of people are keen to join us but are not attracted by big bonuses." Sir Brian was formerly Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Group.
