Bruno Giussani


Bruno Giussani is a writer, entrepreneur, idea generator, and a connector.

He is the European Director of the TED conferences and the producer of the first TEDGLOBAL (Oxford, 2005) and of several other events. He also is the Special Projects Editor at newsmagazine L'Hebdo.

Bruno lives in Switzerland, where he is a member of the Boards of Tinext, a software company, and of Namics, and through Giussani Group LLC, a firm he co-founded, consults with private and public organisations.

He writes a monthly column for the "Innovation & Design" section of Business Week Online and is a regular contributor to several publications in Europe and the U.S. including the Herald Tribune, and the Wall Street Journal Europe.

He is an award-winning blogger and a recognised specialist of the social and business impacts of technological innovation.

Bruno was previusly an executive at the World Economic Forum, an Internet columnist for the New York Times, co-founded two other companies and authored several books on the social impacts of new technologies.

He was made a 2004 Knight Fellow at the Department of Communication at Stanford University and is an Affiliated Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford.
