Business motivational speakers share their experiences to help the audience develop new markets, build up a positive outlook, and attain a greater understanding of the skills they need.  Business motivational speakers can show the audience how to be more competitive in their sector. 

A business motivational speaker is an individual who has a proven track-record of business success, and who wants to share that success with their audience. Business motivational speakers come from a variety of backgrounds. It may be an outstanding entrepreneur who has founded a successful business, or someone who has held a senior position on a large, internationally respected organization.  A business motivational speaker derives great satisfaction from sharing what they have learned with others, making them feel positive about themselves and work towards achieving their goals and ambitions. 

 

GREG DYKE

Business motivational speaker Greg Dyke was Director General of the BBC from 2000 to 2004.  He started his broadcasting career at London Weekend Television. After the Granada take-over of LWT, Greg joined Pearson Television as Chief Executive. He guided the consortium which created Channel 5 and became its first Chairman. During this period he was also Chairman of the Independent Television Association, Chairman of GMTV, and at various times a Director of Pearson plc, Channel Four Television, ITN and BSkyB.

 

SAHAR HASHEMI

Business motivational speaker Sahar Hashemi founded Coffee Republic, the UK’s first US style coffee bar chain with her brother and built it into one of the UK’s most recognised high street brands with a turnover of £30m. Sahar Hashemi has been named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Britain 2003 by the Daily Mail.  In 2005 Sahar Hashemi launched Skinny Candy, a high profile brand of sugar free sweets.

 


BARBARA CASSANI

Barbara Cassani is best known for founding the low cost airline Go and for spearheading the London Olympic bid. Since 2008 she has been Executive Chairman of Jurys Inns, the fast growing Irish hotel group.  Business motivational speaker Barbara Cassani was named UK Businesswoman of the Year and co-authored the book Go: An Airline Adventure. In 2002, Barbara Cassani was named Veuve Clicquot UK Business Woman of the Year and was voted UK Entrepreneur of the Year among the readers of the Daily and Sunday Telegraphs. In 2004, Barbara was asked to be Chairman of London's Olympic Bid which she built from scratch and oversaw the bid winning finalist status before handing over to Lord Coe.

Heather Rabbatts is Executive Deputy Chairman of Millwall Football Club, a positin she held until 2009.  Business motivational speaker Heather Rabbatts was a BBC Governor, the youngest ever CEO of Merton and Lambeth Council, Head of Education at Channel 4, Governor of the London School of Economics, Director of the Bank of England, Board Member of the UK Film Council, Trustee of the British Council and founder of her own internet company.

Until 2004 Roger Flynn was Chief Executive of BBC Ventures Ltd, one of the BBC’s two Commercial Groups and a member of the BBC’s Executive Committee, reporting directly to the Director General, Greg Dyke.  Prior to that business motivational speaker Roger Flynn was Managing Director of Prudential Retail, a subsidiary of Prudential plc. He was responsible for the UK retail business including the Prudential brand, with a sales turnover of £2bn, 6m customers and 6,000 staff. He created and implemented a strategy to transform the economics, culture and infrastructure.of the company.

Until late 2005 business motivational speaker Mark Wilcox was the Director of People & Organisational Development at Sony Europe based in the Headquarters in Berlin. There he was responsible for the European Talent Management Strategy and also in supporting European organisational change. In February 2008, Mark published Re Energizing the Corporation, How Leaders make Change Happen, in collaboration with best selling management thinker, Jonas Ridderstrale.
