One of the brightest new talents to ascend through such programmes as Newsround and Newsnight, Krishnan brings great flair to his reports and presentation- flair borne of intelligence, knowledge and sound programming instinct.

His impressive programme tally began in the year between school and university presenting topical youth discussions on BBC 2's Open to Question researching for BBC Scotland's Testimony and reporting for BBC 2's Reportage. During his time he also presented the major Asian arts magazine Network East.

University (he read PPE at Oxford) being no barrier to TV work, Krishnan presented on ITV's fashion series Posh Frocks and New Trousers on BBB 2's Asian topical current affairs series East- and in the mean time began working on Newsround.

Newsround became Krishnan's home until 1994- He presented and reported such events as the war in Sarajevo, the earth quake in India, the elections in Russia and the American floods. The longer reports for Newsround Extra won him praise and an award for his report on pollution in Romania and while abroad for Newsround he also filed reports for Breakfast News.

The range of his work- as producer and journalist for BBC Television News and as a presenter on World Service Television News and until recently location reporter on National Lottery Live- underlines Krishnan's unique talent and versatility. He is now a presenter of Channel Four News alongside Jon Snow
