The London Speaker Bureau recently hosted a day shooting clay pigeons in aid of Save The Rhino. Tom Kenyon-Slaney, a director of TLSB, is also a Trustee of Save The Rhino.
Fifteen teams competed during the day, and we were joined by some of our leading speakers. Most prominent was Carol Thatcher, daughter of Margaret Thatcher, who also acted as the auctioneer at the charity auction which followed the shoot. We also welcomed Sahar Hashemi, founder of Coffee Republic and Skinny Candy, polar explorer Ben Saunders, the youngest Briton to walk unsupported to the North Pole, Mark Gallagher, Formula One insider and Managing Director of the Irish A1 racing team, and Robin Sieger, one of the UK’s top business motivational speakers.
The auction raised £6000 and the most valuable item was a seven-day holiday for two in St Lucia, kindly donated by Abercrombie & Kent, the luxury travel company. Other lots included a bronze rhino and a signed Lewis Hamilton racing cap. In total the event raised over £25, 000 for Save The Rhino.
