Vince Everts


Vince Everts uses his in-depth knowledge of information technology to explain to corporate audiences how new developments will change the way business and society will operate.

Vince Everts is an advisor to the E400 million European technology venture capital fund Insight Partners.

He is an ambassador for Thinkquest (the Web competition for Dutch high school students) and member of the board of Isoc (the Dutch Internet society). Vincent is active with a a regular contributor at Businessnieuws, the Dutch radio station.

From 1996-1999, Vince was president of Media Plaza, the demonstration centre for the "electronic highway". At Media Plaza, corporate decision makers can discover the possibilities of the electronic highway through exciting, experimental demonstrations, they can take a look at the futuristic centre with the virtual tour. Each year Media Plaza welcomes 25 thousand executives.

Besides tours and presentations, Vince has initiated the development of two political plans that solve problems in society using the electronic highway. The Gridlock plan, which tries to decrease the amount of gridlock’s by flexible working. The Internet University designed to solve the lack of Internet specialists by virtual training programmes.

Between 1994 and 1996 Vince studied at the Business School of Rotterdam. His thesis consisted of research into implementing SAP by consultants. He developed a computer-based model for www.origin.com which estimates the amount of time it takes to implement SAP in a company based on the complexity – i.e. the amount of business procedures implemented.

In 1988 Vincent founded Cyco Software in Atlanta, and served as president from 1988-1994. Cyco, a software company of 120 people, specialises in data and document management systems, with offices in Holland, Russia and the US. During this time the company sold more then 150.000 copies of the software Automanager (3rd party software for Autocad) around the world. Vince started his career as Commercial Director and co-founder of Cyco Automation in 1984.

Vince studied political science, economics and tried to finish an MBA between 1978 and 1984...but failed to get those last bits of work done!
